Blood tests are not always reliable, particularly during perimenopause, when hormones fluctuate quite significantly.

This Menopause Symptom Score can help us (and you) determine your baseline symptoms as well as response to any treatment prescribed. For example, it can help us as doctors decide if we need to increase, decrease or change the type of your hormone replacement therapy.

We are of course aware that some symptoms can be related to life pressures or other medical conditions, so this is only a guide. The menopause transition never occurs in isolation to other events in your life and so your score needs to be discussed in consultation with your doctor each visit.
